So good!
Ate here this previous Saturday because the hubs was craving good BBQ and he found this place. So far, Willingham has beaten out all the BBQ places we've been to recently. We ordered the 1/2 lb of Jalapeno sausage, 1 lb of Brisket, and the Beef Ribs. For the sides we go the potato salad and beans.
The sausage has an amazing flavor. I normally don't get sausages but had to try this one because it sounded great and it did not disappoint. For the brisket, we chose to get the more fatty end of it and it was delicious! It was tender and flavorful. The beef ribs, which is only available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, was huge. It literally fell of the bone. It was such a meaty piece and very rich in flavor.
I absolutely recommend going over and trying it out. They've won many awards for their BBQ and they had articles up on the wall that were really interesting to read. And when we went, the owner was there. Everyone was just so helpful and friendly. -

Past World Champion?
Overall: Good but not the best for me. Their meat quality is excellent, but my first bite really lacked the WOW factor that I expect from a 5 star experience. I feel like Smokin' Jonny's BBQ at this time is the best in South bay for me.
Parking: Parking seems a bit small so maybe during peak hours it could hard to get parking.
Service/Vibe: Order at the counter type place.
Food: Pork ribs - The meat was very tender but again lacked that wow factor for me when I am eating award winning food.
Pulled pork - Also good but again lacked flavor.
Brisket - This was the best meat out of the 3 I ordered.
While the quality of meat is great it really lacked flavor for me, even with their bbq sauce. I think this place can has the potential to live up to its name if they revamped their BBQ sauce or how they season their meat. -

Alright, Alrighty.
World Champion BBQ?
Okayy, that's a pretty bold title/name for a biz there & let me tell you... I can see why it's called that. Its pretty damn tasty. Champion in my eyes!
Order some take-out from this spot for dinner tonight, & it was quite filling, juicy & tasty. I ordered the 2 Meat Plate. It comes with your choice of two meats, & two sides.
I went with the ribs (3 slabs) & the pulled pork. Both were scrumptious. I saw the ribs being torn apart when I went to pick up my order I was basically drooling. The pulled pork was also amazing. I loved that the plate came with a bread roll & your choice of sauce ( I chose Mild Original). As for the sides, potato salad & cream corn is what I went with-- both paired well together.
Good Sized plate, its even sharable! Because portions people!
5 Stars all around, although I didn't dine at the space it looked clean. & all of the staff was sweet. Would recommend! Give 'em a try. -

Was in the area looking for something good and wholesome. Came across this place and had to try it. The food was amazing and the family service was top notch. Brisket was soft, tender and moist. The jalapeño sausage had the right amount of kick. The sides are as good as the main dish. Something about the cream corn, I couldn't stop eating it. The baked beans is a must try. Found a gem that I would definitely come back.

Willingham's World Champion BBQ serves great food in the heart of LA.
FOOD (4.5/5):
They have several types of meat, sides, and even chili available. I am from the East coast where BBQ is very good and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food here. My recommendations are as follows.
- Brisket
- Chili
- Beef ribs
- Collard greens
The regular ribs were tough and not my favorite.
SERVICE (5/5):
All of the wait staff were very friendly and helpful.
ATMOSPHERE (4/5):
Free parking. VERY LIMITED SEATING. Mostly takeout.
